Ryan Stephenson is standing to be the next Conservative MP for Batley and Spen.
Born and raised in a pit village in West Yorkshire, Ryan attended his local comprehensive high school. After going to university in Leeds he began a varied career that has allowed him to work internationally in South America, The Balkans and East Asia, gaining experience that will help him secure the investment we need in our community.
Ryan is now a councillor and a director of a multi-academy trust operating here in West Yorkshire.
As our MP, Ryan will work with ministers to attract new businesses and create good local jobs. That way, every resident can get a decent wage.
Ryan will work with police to cut crime and put more officers on the beat. And he’ll use his experience as a director of an academy trust in West Yorkshire to get investment for youth clubs and provide opportunities for young people.
Ryan will work with the government to secure investment for our high streets. He’ll fight for our place in programmes like the Towns Fund. Helping to bring life back to our town centres.
Ryan will work with local businesses to deliver more apprenticeships for young people. Helping residents earn and learn at the same time.
And Ryan will work with councillors to improve local transport links, with better rail services and more bus routes.
More jobs. Safer streets. New apprenticeships. And a brighter future for our high streets. Your vote can make it happen
